My book is out of my hands. I’m just waiting on someone else to edit and finish it at this point. That’s a depressing place to be, to be honest.
What do I do now?
Well…
I looked through a few freelancer sites to see if anyone was hiring an illustrator. They were, but people in other countries charge less.
I’ve been taking care of my baby chicks. My favorite turned out to be a rooster. Petitioning for it to live.
Beginning to wonder if I can tell the future, because I had drawings of a red rooster earlier this year. Guess who has a red rooster? I hope he’ll grow up to be nice.
We have blackberries. I picked a bunch last year. This year there aren’t as many. My brother got there first and picked them all.
My cat likes to take naps. I like to pet him. He doesn’t like it when I get up though. I think he would prefer a completely immobilized human. Let’s hope cats don’t take over the world any time soon.
I’m working on a new project, hoping to pick up a literary agent. This one is about pirates and I’m concerned that it isn’t unique enough to get noticed.
I’ve been thinking of possibilities for an art curriculum. It’s going to be a lot of work, and I’m worried that people won’t buy it if I make it, since no one knows who I am yet. Everything is resting on Tessa’s success. Let’s hope she flies high.
Today I’m going to have a friend over. Life is still crazy and stressful, but I’m going to be patient and enjoy the fellowship.
