Where are we going in the new year?

As an art teacher, a writer, and an illustrator, I love to visit schools and libraries to share my books “Take that, Hurricane!” and “Tobey the Collector.” Being the new year, it’s time to schedule up Summer Reading! Are you a teacher or librarian? Are you covering Hurricanes in your curriculum? Or are you a creative writing or art teacher looking for a practical example of your work in the wild?

Let’s visit the local Library!

We’ve visited libraries before, but this time we’ll be working with the Summer Reading Program to create fun events with reading, activities, and a Q and A with the author!

This year we will also be offering a new activity: making our own picture books! We’ll go through the process of building a book piece by piece and show kids how fun it is to create!
